The fact that Turkey is extremely visited, is not really that a surprise. Even among Danes, it has been a popular travel destination for many years although relatively far away.
The coastal areas of the country attract people, as there is good weather most of the year, nice swimming pools, many good hotels and tasty and different food that people are used to. The capital Ankara and Istanbul (culturally) are recommended.
